Before you pay
- Get a written guarantee and a receipt with model and serial (保証書 · 領収書).
- Serial on the papers must match the watch.
- Ask if dial, hands and crown are original and when it was last serviced.
- Wind the crown, set the time, change the date. Everything should feel smooth.
- Far below market is a warning sign, not a bargain.
- Tax-free: bring your passport. From 1 Nov 2026 you pay with tax and get it back at departure, so keep the receipt.
- Check your home country's import duty before buying expensive pieces.
